According to figures published in December 2011 it was estimated there were over 1.2 million incidents of serious injury due to electric shock, and more than 25% of these were as a direct result of faulty portable appliances.

We find Portable appliance testing is one of the most overlooked essential services required by the health and safety at work act from employers and landlords. Most people don't realise PAT Testing is not very expensive and can save lives

We offer two levels of service

1. Simple cost effective service where we perform the full scope of testing on every portable appliance in your premises.
2. Comprehensive service where we perform the full scope of testing on every portable appliance in your premises and also keep an inventory of all assets we test. This not only ensures every appliance is safe to use but you are also able to keep an accurate record of you assets and there condition.

With both services we will perform visual, physical and electronic tests on all appliances as well as power cords and extension cables (i.e. anything with a plug). Once testing is complete each item is issue with either a pass or fail label clearly showing whether it is safe to use or not.

It's important to make sure all items get tested. The most likely item to cause harm or injury is the one that's been left in the back of the cupboard since you found it to be a bit dodgy. We can safely test and do minor repairs to these types of equipment.
